To the Roper family and all of Tony's friends and fans, please know that you are not alone in your sadness. News of Tony's death has shaken our small town and the response seems to be the same no matter who you talk to.... Tony was admired so much, not only for his racing talents but for just being Tony. Whether you grew up with him, like I did, or watched his racing career take off... you couldn't help but admire and appreciate him. Tony left this world doing what he loved... we should all be so fortunate someday. I know beyone a shadow of doubt that Tony loved his family, cherished his friends and appreciated his fans. In turn, He will be loved, cherished and appreciated in return for a lifetime. My prayers are with you all.
